UVIT is a mobile device management (MDM) solution for Windows, macOS, Linux and iOS, built and operated by EigerCode GmbH in Switzerland. If you are looking for a European alternative to US-based MDM providers, this page explains what UVIT does and where your data lives.
Why a European MDM?
An MDM knows a lot about your company: every device, every user, every installed application, and it can push software and settings to all of them. That makes the question of who runs your MDM, and under which law, just as important as its feature list.
Hosted in Switzerland. Your device and fleet data is stored on servers in Switzerland.
Swiss company, no US parent. EigerCode is a Swiss company with its office in Schlieren ZH. Unlike US providers, we are not subject to the US CLOUD Act.
Recognised by the EU. The European Commission recognises Switzerland as providing an adequate level of data protection. Data can flow between the EU and Switzerland just as it does within the EU, under the GDPR.
Developed and supported in Switzerland. No offshored development and no call centre. The people answering your support requests are the people writing the code.

Software deployment: pick an app from our catalogue or upload your own, target groups or individual machines and track the installation status in real time. It even installs Homebrew packages.
Inventory: know exactly which application runs on which device.
Update status: see which devices are behind on operating system updates and when each one last checked.
Configuration profiles: push security policies, Wi-Fi and network settings, and other configurations to whole teams at once.
Identity provider included: connect your existing identity provider or use ours, at no extra cost.
